Somewhere Softer
Somewhere Softer
This is one of my biggest pieces yet and it’s taken me days to bring it to life. It all started as a total freestyle and became this dreamy abstract landscape straight from my imagination (and yep this place is wild!!!). I painted a little each over a month and it’s been the best kind of therapy to wind down with when life feels really loud. I added birds because they’ve always meant something special to me, freedom, hope, connection, and the idea of new beginnings. There’s something about their ability to rise above and move together that just feels powerful. I painted the sea gold, you can’t take the gold out of the Indian girl…I’m obsessed and I think it gives it a special touch. It’s a piece that makes me smile and holds personal meaning around connection and the idea of stepping into new places, new chapters or seasons. I hope you can spin your own perspective on it too.
